Dear fellow alumnus of NITK (KREC),
NITK (KREC) Surtkal is gearing up for the formal launch of golden jubilee celebrations on August 6, 2009. The NITK (KREC) Suratkal Alumni Association will play a major role in ensuring grand success for the year long celebrations and is currently in the process of mobilizing maximum participation of the alumni in all the events.
Please plan to join the inaugural celebrations at the college campus on August 6, 2009. The Alumni Association will leverage your presence to firm up further plans for celebration throughout the year.
As part of the celebrations, the Alumni Association has planned to conduct the 5th Global Alumni Convention on Dec 26 and 27, 2009 at Suratkal. In addition to highlighting the success of NITK and its alumni over the past 50 years, this event aims to define new vision for the future and inspire the generations towards higher benchmarks, achievements, and contributions. Please mark your calendar now for attending this event along with your family.
Thanks to the generous support of the alumni in the past, great deal of good work has been done through the Alumni Association including the initiatives like Alumni Scholarship Fund, Greening the Campus, Coconut Garden by the beach, financial assistance to students for showcasing their talents and to address contingencies, funding for local social causes etc.
- The Alumni Association is setting a goal to raise a fund of Rs. Five crores for sponsoring many new initiatives including the heritage center, faculty program chairs etc. We request your generous contributions and promotions in this regard.
- As part of the Golden Jubilee Year planning, The Alumni Association is currently formulating a global committee to ensure maximum participation of the alumni from all the quarters. We request you to nominate yourself and your fellow alumni friends to the committee, and help us in mobilizing for event participation, alumni contact & information update, fund raising, program design, event planning, event management at the college and across many regions world over.
- We seek your valuable ideas and contributions regarding vision and concept of the programs, global and regional event ideas, event agenda, key note addresses, symposium lectures, poster sessions, showcasing success stories, memoirs, cultural programs, souvenir articles, trade show, industry exhibitions, competitions, alumni-college synergy, alumni-student interactions, event sponsors, mementos, world wide web leverage etc.
- Further, the Alumni Association needs your help and nominations to recognize and facilitate key icons, high achievers, and social cause contributors among the alumni community.
- We seek nominations to ensure coverage for all the NITK courses, year-wise batches, regions, cities, professional areas, industrial, academic, government, and service sectors, and large companies.
